On Saturday 20th June, we held our reunion BBQ, which turned out a very successful evening.
The event was to mark 100 years of Sea Scouting and also to celebrate the recent refurbishments to our headquarters. Around 90 past and present members of the group attended travelling from as far as Wales to attend the evening.
A number of former Scouts attended including Mayor Tony Eggington, Swimming sensation Daniel Mills and former 5th Mansfield Scout Leader Jack Webster.
Live entertainment was provided by local band, the Kannibal Lemmings and we also had a bouncy castle and climbing wall.
The event was a huge success with friendships being renewed with many of our former members. Everyone had a pleasant evening and we would like to thanks everybody who attended.
Pictured below is Mayor Tony Eggington and former Scout Leader Jack Webster unveiling a plaque in our headquarters commemorating the event.
